The City of Cold Spring Public Works Department has many duties and responsibilities. Although weather may sometimes be a factor, the Public Works staff makes every effort to accomplish their tasks. Resident cooperation is essential to the effectiveness of the department.

Some of the daily tasks performed by the Public Works Department includes street maintenance and repair, snow removal and salting, facilities maintenance and repair including the Administration Building, sidewalk replacement and repair, catch basin cleaning and repair, ditch clearing, landscaping and park maintenance and repair.
